L’arte dell’illusione ottica artistica, comunemente chiamata “op art”, è una forma d’arte con basi matematiche che produce illusioni ottiche grazie alla ripetizione di forme e colori. In questa forma d’arte si verifica anche una distorsione della percezione di profondità.

La op art richiede conoscenze matematiche ed una meticolosa progettazione perchè manipola le regole della percezione. Una persona che guarda l’opera, ha spesso la sensazione che il disegno si muove.
